What Food Stands are Actually Worth it in Camden Market?

Get ready to explore the very best of Camden Market's culinary landscape! In this blog post, I'm highlighting my top 10 'worth it' stands that are must-tries. As it is such a busy venue, it's great to have in mind which food stalls your aiming to try, so I hope this helps you.

  • Yorkshire Burrito

This hearty delight wraps succulent cuts of tender meat—think juicy roast beef or crispy pork belly—within a warm Yorkshire pudding, creating a flavourful marriage of textures and tastes with crisp potatoes, cauliflower cheese and stuffing. The accompanying array of fresh vegetables and savoury gravy adds a satisfyingly wholesome touch. You have the meat options of chicken (£9.75) as well as beef (£10.50), The 'cauli cheese burrito' is the veggie option priced at £9.25 and worth the buy even though it has no meat texture in there. You are sure to be filled up by their big portion sizes and not disappointed. I had a 30 minute wait whilst there for this, I recommend going not at peak lunch times or you will be stuck in line for far too long.

A must-try that pays homage to its regional roots while offering a uniquely Camden twist.

  • The chimney cake lady

A fun-to-eat chimney shaped Hungarian pastry that is caramelised on the outside. Would recommend that you spend a little bit extra to get the chocolate filling on the inside and cinnamon sugar on the outside - priced around £5, I loved how the texture and taste reminded me of a pastry, churro and cake in one. It was fresh, hot and perfect for anyone with a sugar tooth.

  • Asador

A good quality Argentinian ribeye steak topped with fried onions and chips for £11. If you want spice, they can add hot sauce for free! The option to have the steak in the ciabatta is also incredible, with the most satisfying cheese pulls and garlic flavour!

  • Meat Point

shredded prime Argentinian steak sliced ultra thin and covered in delicious sauces - what makes it different to Asador? That they serve the steak on a bed of freshly made crisps! You can see the crisps be cut using a homemade drill machine and then be fried and seasoned perfectly. The steak and chips are £9 or you can get a meal deal for £13.

  • Khaao

Irresistible cheesy halal indian naan melts with fillings usch as malai, tandoori or masala chicken, lamb shish, paneer masala. The naan is crisp and the cheese provides the perfect 'cheese pull' and flavour with the array of sauces inside. They are £8.50 each, I felt this was an appropriate price due to being filling and that they don't skimp on fillings

I enjoyed pairing it with a mango lassi for £3 that was refreshing, yet a small size for that price.

  • Seven Heaven - Dutch pancakes

Lot's of topping options, Seven Heaven has the most perfectly soft dutch pancakes, covered in the perfect amount of chocolate (you can choose white, milk or dark), as well as fruit toppings as well as offering biscoff, marshmallows, smarties and flakes! Priced at 10 for £6, I thought these were worth the price and the perfect warming dessert to finish with.

  • Camden Pizza

Perfect fresh-from-the-oven pizza, costing £9 for a margherita, they have 4 variations including pepperoni, burned potato (£10) proscuitto san danielle and truffle mushroom pizza (both are £12). Tasting straight out of Italy as well as having an impressive cheese pull - this is the perfect option if you want to stay in your comfort zone and want to buy something you know you'll enjoy.

  • Funky Chips

I recommend funky chips if your a big chips lover as the wait in the line will likely be infuriatingly long. The £9 'small portion' is in fact, not small at all and if you want a huge mountain of chips, I would go for the £12.50 double cheesy chips. The price point is a bit much for chips, but these portions would feed a family of 4 and honestly for the sheer amount of sauce and toppings you get, I don't mind it too much. It's guaranteed to make you full. I recommend the spicy masala fries which have been widely praised as the best of their sauce selections.

  • Kolkati Street

I got the paneer roll, in a delicious roti wrap for £8.50, which was delicious and fragrant, packing a lot of flavour with the green chillis. The kati rolls are also an absolute highlight, offering a harmonious blend of flavours and textures that transport you to the vibrant streets of India.

  • Chin Chin Labs

Although it's not a stand, rather a shop - I recommend the 'chin chin labs' hot chocolate (£6, but for the silkiness of the chocolate topped with a huge toasted marshmallow, I would say it's worth the price if your a big chocolate lover like me) as well as their griddle cookie dough, although quite small in size, it had a lovely gooey texture that melted in my mouth. If you have a sweet tooth like me, you will be in heaven. The waffle cup sundaes with the nitrogen-freezed ice cream are delicious yet £4.95 for a single scoop is quite steep. They provide an interesting and exciting experience, seeing them whip up the ice cream, but my friend said she believed the taste and portion size for the cost made it 'not worth it'.

The space and tables are small and normally crowded to sit in, but it's great for a pick-up treat and a walk with friends.
